Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Candidates shall have passed 10+2 with Mathematics (Minimum 50% marks) from a recognized Board of Secondary Education (45% for SC/ST from Uttarakhand).
Admission is based on the merit in the nation-wide Entrance Test conducted by the university. The entrance examination shall be of two hours’ duration featuring multiple choice questions. The question paper shall be of 100 marks, comprising of two sections. While the first section containing 25 general aptitude questions is compulsory, you need to attempt 3 out of 5 parts (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology) from the second section.
Syllabus for Entrance Exam (Computer Science section)
Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning (5 Questions):
Propositional logic, Quantitative Aptitude, coding-decoding, series, venn-diagrams.
Mathematics (7 Questions):
Set theory, relations, functions, permutations and combinations, matrices and determinants, vector algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, linear programming.
Probability & Statistics (3 Questions):
Probability, conditional probability, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, random variables, probability distributions.
Computer Fundamentals (10 Questions):
Computer organization (CPU, I/O devices, Memory), history of computers, number system (decimal/ binary/ octal/ hexadecimal), boolean algebra, programming, functions- definition and call, object-oriented concepts.
